Jeff Taylor begins 2022 season in Stock Car

Jeff Taylor ventured to the Lone Star State on Sunday afternoon to kick off his 2022 season aboard the Shaw Race Cars IMCA No. 5 Stock Car at Heart O’ Texas Speedway (Waco, Texas) for the Lonestar Stock Car Tour. After a power steering issue sidelined him in his hot lap session and heat race, Taylor charged from the 11th-starting position in his B-Main to finish third. Rolling off 24th for the feature, Jeff passed 10 more cars in the 25-lap affair to finish 14th.

On Monday afternoon at Devil’s Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas), Jeff dropped one spot in his heat race to finish eighth. Needing a second-place finish or better in his B-Main to make the show, Taylor retired on the third lap of his consolation event with an oil leak.
