Classes

Weekly Divisions

Heart O' Texas Speedway races five (5) car classes on a weekly basis: IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car, IMCA Southern Sportmod, Factory Stock and Outlaw Street Stocks. ASCS Winged Sprint, Elite Non-Wing Sprints, 305 RaceSaver Sprints, Sprint Car Bandits, Lone Star 600 Mini sprints and Lone Star Dwarf Car Club series are featured throughout the year.

IMCA Modified

The Top Weekly Division at the speedway. This class is very fast and puts on some exciting racing action each night.

  • IMCA Modifieds can range in pricing anywhere between $8,000-$35,000 depending on the type of chassis (car frame) and engine combination.
  • During a race, IMCA Modifieds average 70 MPH in the corners and 90 on the straight-a-ways.
  • IMCA Modifieds use an IMCA Stamped G-60 Hoosier 8" wide racing tire. With our track surface, a car will go through an average of 8 tires per racing season. Rear Tires can last around 6-8 weeks and front tires can last longer. Tires cost approx. $110 each.
  • IMCA Modifieds use 110 octane ($7.50 per gal) or methanol ($4 per gal) fuels. Cars burn twice as much methanol than 110 octane. Methanol can produce higher horse power than 110 but it is also harder on the fuel system.
  • There are two engine options within this class. One is an unlimited cubic inch, steel head, non-roller cam motor, the other is a GM 604 Crate motor that has limited cubic inches, aluminum hads and a hydraulic cam shaft. The Crate motor cars are also allowed a two inch spoiler on the rear of the car
  • Drivers compete in this class for the high speeds, intense competition and great racing.

IMCA Stock Car

The top Stock Car division at the speedway. This class is labeled as the class to tough to tame!

  • IMCA Stock Cars can range in price anywhere between $5,000-$12,000 depending on the type of chassis (car frame) and engine combination.
  • During a race, IMCA Stock Cars average 70 MPH in the corners and 90 on the straight-a-ways.
  • IMCA Stock Cars use an IMCA Stamped G-60 Hoosier 8" wide racing tire. With our track surface, a car will go through an average of 8 tires per racing season. Rear tires can last around 6-8 weeks and the front tires can last longer. Tire cost is approx. $110 each.
  • IMCA Stock Cars use 110 octane fuel ($7.50 per gal). On an average night, an IMCA Stock Car will go through 7-12 gallons of 110 Octane race fuel.
  • There are two engine options within this class. One is an unlimited cubic inch motor utilizing a 350 CFM Two Barrel Holley Carburetor, and the other is a maximum 361 cubic inch motor utilizing a 500 CFM Two Barrel Holley Carburetor.
  • Drivers race in this top stock car division for its high speeds, intense competition, and great racing action.

IMCA Southern Sport Mod

This is the entry level modified division at the speedway.

  • IMCA Southern Sport Mods can range anywhere between $5,000-$12,000 depending on the type of chassis (car frame) and engine combination.
  • During a race, IMCA Southern Sport Mods average 70 MPH in the corners and 85 on the straight-a-ways.
  • The visual difference between the Modified and Southern Sport Mod is the Sport Mods are allowed an eight inch spoiler across the rear deck.
  • IMCA Southern Sport Mods use an IMCA Stamped Hoosier 500 8" wide racing tire. With our track surface, a car will go through an average of 8 tires per racing season. Rear tires can last around 6-8 weeks and the front tires can last longer. Tires cost approx. $110.
  • IMCA Southern Sport Mods use 110 octane fuel ($7.50 per gal). On an average night, an IMCA Southern Sport Mod will go through 7-12 gallons of 110 Octane fuel.
  • There are two engine options within this class. One is a maximum 364 cubic inch motor utilizing a 500 CFM Two Barrel Holley Carburetor, and the other is a GM 602 Crate motor that can utilize a four barrel Holley Carburetor.
  • Drivers race in this class for the high speeds, intense competition, and the affordability of the class.

Factory Stock

This division is a beginner class that takes cars from the street and makes them into race cars.

  • Factory Stocks can range anywhere between $3,000-$10,000 depending on the type of chassis (car frame) and engine.
  • During a race, Factory Stocks average 60 MPH in the corners and 75 on the straight-a-ways.
  • Factory Stocks use a Hoosier Asphalt Slick Pull off 8"-10" wide racing tire. With our track surface, a car will go through an aveage of 8 tires per racing season. Rear tires can last around 8 weeks and front tires can last longer. Tires cost $25-$35 each.
  • Factory Stocks use 110 octane ($7.50 per gal) or 98 octane pump gas ($2 per gal) fuel. On an average night, a Factory STock will go thorugh 5-7 gallons of fuel.
  • Drivers compete in this class for the speed, intense competition, the affordabiltiy of the class, and the opportunity to gain racing skills at a beginner leve.
  • Jr. Mini Stocks can range anywhere between $2500-$6000 depending on the type of chassis (car frame) and engine.
  • During a race, Jr. Mini Stocks can average 55 MPH in the corners and 60 on the straight-a-ways.
  • Jr. Mini Stocks use a DOT Street Legal 13" or 14" diameter standard street tire that is approximately 7" wide. With our track surface, a car will go through an average of 6 tires per racing season. Rear tires can last around 10 weeks and front tires can last the enitre season.
  • Jr. Mini Stocks use 110 octane ($7.50 per gal) or 98 octane pump gas ($2.00 per gal) fules. On an average night, a Jr. Mini Stock will go through 5 gallons of fuel.
  • The engines in these cars are 4-cylinder maximum 2399cc engines utilizing a maximum 400 CFM Two Barrel Holley Carburetor.
  • Young drivers age 12-15 may want to compete in this calss to gain experience. The class provides intense competition, affordability, and the opportunit to gain racing skills at a beginner leve.

Winged Sprints

Traveling Series throughout Texas and surrounding states.

  • Winged Sprints are a traveling sereis and race at differrent tracks throughout Texas and surrounding states.
  • Winged Sprints can range anywhere between $15,000-$25,000 depending on the type of chassis (frame) and engine combination.
  • During a race, Winged Sprints can average 95 MPH in the corners and 100 on the straight-a-ways.
  • Winged Sprints use Hoosier racing tires ranging between 15" and 18" wide on the rear and 8-10" on the front. Rear tires cost approx $220 each and the front tires cost approx $165 each.
  • Winged Sprints use methanol ($4.00 per gal) fuel. On an average night, a Winge Sprint will go through 15-25 gallons of methanol racing fuel.
  • There are two type of engine within these sprint cars. One is a GM 305 Sealed engine, the other is a 360 cubic inch motor option. Type of series determines engine size.
  • Drivers compete in this class to race at different tracks, the high speeds, horse power, prestige of racing in the highest division, no limits on how much you can invest into your car and there is no engin claim in this calss (buying a competitors engine to limit their performance).

Outlaw Street Stocks

Any American made stock passenger car body on a stock unaltered full frame, or Chrysler unibodies. Camaros or
Pontiac, Firebirds and Novas. Truck bodies on metric frames are allowed. >ENGINE: All engines used in competition must be able to be used in production U.S. passenger cars without alteration. See the rules for more information
