Heart O' Texas Speedway to resume racing action May 29th

Heart O' Texas Speedway will resume the 2020 racing season on Friday night May 29, 2020. After a 10 week shutdown due to the COVID-19 Virus, the speedway will once again Turn on the Friday Night Lights for the Best Dirt Track Racing in Central Texas. This has been an extremely frustrating time for the owner, staff, drivers and fans as we have been wanting to reopen for weeks. With the Governors recent executive order and direction from the county we will resume the 2020 racing season. We originally wanted to open this coming Memorial Day weekend, but with the current forecast of 50% chance of rain on Friday and 80% on Sunday we have elected to move our reopening to the following week. We are limited to 25% capacity in the grandstands. We have plenty of seating capacity and this should not be an issue for our fans. We will have to leave every other row open in the stands and groups of up to 6 that come together can sit together and there should be six feet distance between groups. Drivers will be allowed up to 6 people within your pit area and no large groups around cars at the end of the night. Fans and Individuals in the pits will be required to adhere to social distancing and face mask are recommended. The speedway will be installing some plexiglass shields to protect our staff in the concession stands and single use packets of condiments will be issued for your food. The speedway is installing a number of hand sanitizer stations throughout the speedway to provide additional hygiene options for our guest. We will be running our regularly scheduled program for this night. Southern Sport Mod King of the Hill will be on the show card for this event. Due to the 10 Week lay off this event will be Draw/Redraw in all classes to allow any and all drivers that wish to compete to come out and enjoy some great racing under the Friday Night Lights. We will be posting additional information about next weeks show(s) and any additional information regarding any additional changes or requirements.

Hope to see everyone at the speedway next Friday Night!
Let's Get Back To Racing!
