Bergman Opening ASCS National Tour Campaign with Tripleheader This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – SHAWNEE, Okla. (March 14, 2016) – Seth Bergman will return to competition this weekend with a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour tripleheader in Texas.

Bergman is slated to compete on Thursday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco and Friday and Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite following last weekend’s rainout of the season-opening doubleheader.

“There’s nothing you can do about the weather and unfortunately Mother Nature forced every race within our reach to rain out last weekend,” he said. “Hopefully we have good weather this weekend, we can get all three nights in and we will earn a win or two.”

Bergman was victorious during his lone trip to Heart O’ Texas Speedway last season. He made a late-race pass to secure the lead with two laps remaining during an ASCS Gulf South Region event at the bullring.

“It always gives you a boost of confidence returning to a track where you won the last time out,” he said. “However, you still have to put just as much work in to give yourself a shot at winning again. I pride myself on working hard each week in the shop so that we show up ready to compete for a win.”

Bergman has also headed to Victory Lane at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, where he captured an ASCS National Tour triumph in 2014. Bergman earned a top-six result during all three races at the half-mile oval last season, including rallies from 23rd to fifth place and from 16th to fourth place to garner the Hard Charger Award twice.

“Devil’s Bowl is a very unique track where one end of the track is different than the other,” he said. “It’s hard to set up a perfect car to work flawlessly on both ends so it’s critical to have the best setup possible and drive consistent laps that keep your momentum up.”
